Based in New Brighton, Kagyu Choeyang Ling Christchurch provides regular weekly meditation sessions and hosts visiting teachers.

Regular Meditation Practice

You are welcome to attend our weekly meditation session on Sundays at 10:00 am. The session lasts about one hour, usually followed by a short video providing inspiration and explanation.

Ideally contact us if you would like to attend or just come along at the start time to 39 Rodney Street, New Brighton (enter through the red gate). Anyone is welcome to join in – you do not have to be a Buddhist. Donations are helpful, but voluntary.

Kagyu Choeyang Ling has a new website, covering both of the centres in Nelson and Christchurch. The new site is a merger of the now obsolete rigdrolyehse.org.nz site and the old kcl.org.nz to create a new common identity for KCL.

Venerable Lama Assi has requested that Rigdrol Yeshe Buddhist Institute be known as Kagyu Choeyang Ling Christchurch with immediate effect.  Lama's centre in Nelson will be known as Kagyu Choeyang Ling Nelson.
